Lynne L. Heiden holds B.A. and M.S. Degrees from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and a Real Estate Broker. She has owned and managed Trans-American Appraisal and Real Estate in Kearney, Nebraska since 1984. She has completed numerous market analyses and consulting assignments for the purpose of listing and selling real estate. Her real estate emphasis is land development.
Heiden has been appraising real property since 1981. She currently is designated as an IFAS by the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, GRPA by the Mid-West Appraisers Association and MRA by the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
In addition to public school teaching experience, Lynne has taught real estate and appraisal courses for the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is also an instructor for the Mid-West Appraisers Association and has taught nationally for various other appraisal associations and lenders. Lynne is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor.
Ms. Heiden has served on the Nebraska Real Estate Appraiser Board from 1995 through 2004. During her ten years on the Board, Lynne developed an appraisal review training program for state reviewers and coordinated the implementation of an experience training program for appraiser trainees in Nebraska. She has authored numerous courses and seminars prepared for presentation by the Mid-West Appraisers Association and authored the original “Players Book” presented to The Appraisal Foundation for publication. She also co-authored and presented testimony given for the Congressional Record in the U.S. House of Representatives (HR1362, Section 224) and U.S. Senate (S650, Section 213) in behalf of licensed and certified appraisers in the United States.
Ms. Heiden was recognized by The Appraisal Foundation in 2001 for distinguished service to The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council, the Board of Trustees, the Appraiser Qualifications Board, the Appraisal Standards Board and the Staff of The Appraisal Foundation. In 2001, The Mid-West Appraisers Association gave Lynne a Lifetime Membership Award for dedication and service to the Association. She is a past chair of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC) and also served two 3-year terms on The Appraisal Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
